Welcome to
R & R Psychological Services.
I have been a Registered Psychologist for 20 years and have worked for various organisations such as: Lifeline, The Red Cross, Carers Queensland, The Department of Education, and James Cook University. In 2009 I started private practice as R & R Psychological Services where I am able to use my extensive skills and experience to provide counselling and support to help clients achieve their peace.
I still love meeting new clients and facilitating their journey to reach their full potential.

I work with clients and have had great success in improving their mental health.

With extensive experience in providing professional psychological services, I have worked with clients referred by doctors under mental health care plans; addressing a wide array of issues such as anger management, anxiety, depression, workplace stress and burnout, sleep disorders, and relationship counselling. My clientele spans ages 7 to 70, and I have supported various organizations, including Medicare clients, WorkCover Queensland, Open Arms, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
My background includes serving as a Careers Counsellor at James Cook University; offering comprehensive career, vocational, and leisure counselling to students. I assisted students with resume writing and job applications while facilitating innovative career development programs designed to enhance employability and student retention. I also provided tutoring to first-year medical students, effectively grading assignments and providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Prior to establishing R&R Psychological services I was also employed as an Employee Advisor for Education Queensland, providing counselling and support to teachers; as a Counsellor at Carers Queensland, conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, and assisting clients with management strategies to cope with challenging situations; and as a Family Services Worker with Red Cross Family Assistance, supporting families in developing effective parenting techniques and communication skills. Additionally, my first job as a psychologist and before starting my own business was as a Telephone Counsellor and Supervisor at Lifeline, where I trained and motivated counsellors while supporting them through psychological issues including grief and loss, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
